"Pickman’s Model," ink wash, pen and white ink on 10 1/4" x 14 1/8" 140lb hot press watercolor paper.  Again in the theme of, "If the story was a cartoon from the 20s/30s".
This was the second ink wash I finished at SDCC, but with a catch.  Literally as I finished it, and said, “I think this is done,” I spilled my cup of inky water ALL over it.  A lot was sopped up, but I basically put it aside as I debated on redoing or trying to fix it.
White ink, in general, isn’t all that great.  Even at its darkest it doesn’t hide much.  I bought a jar of Daler Rowney Pro White Ink, which is about as opaque as it gets.  You can still see a lot of traces of the dark ink from the spill, but I sorta like the feel it gives everything.  I’ll probably be using the white ink more in other projects, although hopefully because I want to, not need to.
